Have you thought about the option of splitting the cost with some other bands or friends that you know? How about finding an investor – 100% of CD sales goes to pay them back first with a small percentage going to them after that?
As much as I hate debt, I always have to admit to myself how EASY would it be to put it on a credit card or student loan and then sell a few hundred copies of my album to my friends and family. At the very least, I always know that flipping a few extra burgers on the weekend could never compare to making my own decision to see my dreams come true.
